cutting your own hair

Is it ok to cut your own hair even if you aren't a hairstylist? I have been cutting mine forever, because i hate the way i look when i come out of the beauty parlor, plus they always take too much off

I either cut my own or find a friend to cut it. I/ve even had my bf cut myhair before. I agree with you I never like how my hair comes out after the salon, especially after paying such a high price.

I have been doing that for years and thought that I ws the only one!
Really, who knows your hair better, you or someone that sees it every other month or so?

I cut mine all the time, it's pretty long, so if I mess up the back, I have plenty to work with to get it right. I also have bangs, which I have to trim every 2 weeks or so. No way do I have time to go to a beauty parlor that often!
