Do short mothers produce short children ?

It is all a matter of genetics, and height has no bearing on whether a woman can give birth. I would think that only someone incredibly shallow would refuse to marry someone because of their height, what does height have to do with love

Short mothers don't necessarily produce only short children. Both of my parents are short and my brother is tall. I tend to say he hogged all the height because the rest of us are short. Well, actually... my younger sister is probably about average height. So the two of them hogged it all and my older sister and I got ripped off! As for me not marrying someone just because of their height, well... that would have nothing to do with how our children would turn out because I'm not having kids, so it doesn't matter.

My parents are both short, and my brothers and sisters are all getting quite a bit taller than them both. it doesn't matter your size, it can have a little bit of an impact on your children, but rarely does. i don't think it matters. I married my husband because I Love him.

I don't think it's across the board like that. It all depends on the genetics of both parents and their families. I'm on the small side and my youngest son,who is 15,is almost 6 feet tall. My husband's maternal grandmother was even smaller than me and her only son was 6' 4". As far as C-sections, I guess it all depends on the size of the baby. I had to have C-sections for both my kids because they were big babies, one was 9lb.15 oz and the other was 12 lb. Although I'm already married, height wasn't the deciding factor on who I chose to marry.

For your first question, no not necessary. I've seen many short ladies having very tall sons, so it's not a rule. For the second question, I really don't know. I believe you should tell us ;) (I think you said that graduated from medical school, right?) For the final question, yes, definetely height will be an issue; I won't marry someone shorter than 165 cm (or at least, that's how I think right now).

My mother was only 5' tall and small boned, me and my brother were born naturally. Granted we were both pretty small babies also, both of us were right around 6 lbs. Height never was a factor for me when I was dating. The shortest guy I ever dated was an inch shorter than me and the tallest guy I dated was 6'5". The only problem I ever had with the difference was when my 6'5" boyfriend and I would go out dancing I always made sure I wore my platform shoes so it wouldn't be so awkward when we slow danced. It would not have made a difference to me if we had gotten married. My husband is 5'10".

"Would you not marry someone because of their height???" In a wierd sort of way, I did marry someone because of their height, in spite of (at the time just previous) prefering the opposite of what I married. What? Let me explain. As a young single man I was extremely attracted to women and I prefered short women for some reason. My problem was that when around women I found attractive I became quite awkard, stupid, and unattractive in ways that most women would notice. My wife is quite tall. How did I marry the opposite of what I had found attractive? How did that happen? Well, since I was not attracted to her, I just was myself when around her. I am actually not that bad of a guy and with inexperienced stupid guy jitters not present it was easy for my future wife and I to become good friends. Then things got interesting and then we got married. So, I sort of did not; not marry someone because they weren't short.
