Pet problem..

My girlfriend brought my mother a dog a year ago for a birthday gift. Since we broke up last month my ex stated that the since the dog is still registered in her name she wants the dog back. Anybody know what I can do about this or whether registering with AKC means anything?

I think that even if she took you and your mom to small claims court, she would lose. The dog was a gift to your mother and should have absolutely nothing to do with you or the fact that you and she broke up. It is ridiculous and very ignorant for her to even do such a thing. She needs to grow up and stop trying to do things to hurt you. The dog was a gift for your mom's birthday..end of story.
