Do you usually rate responses in a discussion no matter if they are for the discussions you started or not? If you do, what are your criteria for which you judge a response?

Hey hi, ,well friend i dont rate those responses on discussion which i have not started, i think that user will better judge that situation, and wull decide wht to do with that, i only mark repsonse on my discussion, keep searching good discussions about which you know something and can answer, strictly avoid one liner posts, best luck and happy earning!!!...cheers!!

I usually do rate the discussion and responses. I give positives for good questions and answers....I only rate using plus--I don't feel it is my place to give a negative rating.

Hello mnksmommy....... Not rating negatively to those that deserve it is NOT following mylots policies. They recommend it and in fact request it. Check the do's and don'ts list to see for yourself. Consider this.....there are 75,000+ members multiplied by 100's maybe 1000's of topics....that can add up to how many discussions a day ???...per week ??? They rely on our help. They need and request our help weeding out the garbage, which in the long run will make the quality discussions easier to find and improve mylot and the time we spend here. Tom

Hi! I usually rate the discussion I reply to as positive. The sense of it is that I respond to it because I found it worthy of a response. I don't rate other people's comments or responses, although I know it's okay to do so, like if you want to report a violation or you really liked someone's response even if it wasn't your own discussion. As for my own discussion, I make it a point to rate all the responses positive or negative. If the response is short or has implied something negative, but has answered my topic or question, I still rate positive. I only give negative to violators and those with worthless responses.

i ALWAYS rate responses to my discussions and everyone gets a (+) unless if they did not give an appropriate response or go off track in which case i give a (-) rating. if they are abusive i give a (!) rating as everyone should. to discussions that i respond to i ALWAYS give a (+) so ur discussion got a (+) from me ! =) i do this because it is obviously a good discussion to me if i respond to it and it would appeal to me. however to responses in other discussions, i only rate them (+) if it is a quality or lengthy response because they have at least put in the time n effort to do so. i have been working on making more interesting discussions and longer, fuller responses to each discussion i reply to and i often reply to my friends' discussions. so thats what i do ! =) i hope i answered your question thoroughly. thanks for a great topic ! take care, God bless, and happy posting ! =)
