Due to dehydration your body must have lost more amount of electrolyets.your blood cells started shrinking. There is aperticular amount of sodium and potassium is there in our blood cell so if these amount is disturbed then it will cause different kinds of symptoms,so drink more sodium and potassium to make balance in blood.

Pedialyte is also a good source of electolytes. You'll find in in the baby section of a store. It is what we give the kids when they are sick and are having a hard time keeping fluids in them to keep their electolytes up.

You're welcome. I can't stand drinking gatorade and thought if others couldn't stand taste of gatorade they might like to know about the pedialyte.

Oh dear, I do hope that you are feelling better. I hate the shaky feeling when my electrolytes are low. It is a strange feeling isnt it? Did you give you Iv treatment too?
I hope you feell better really soon. Drink alot of water. No cafffeine because it can dehydrate you.

oh, but water alone will not replace the lost electrolytes. i suggest hydrite tablets or gatorade.

Oh, Shaun, I'm sad to hear that you are facing so many challenges right now. The only things I know about dehydration and electrolytes, I picked up because I don't like to drink water. There is a book you might want to read called "You're not sick, you're thirsty". There is also a product called Xooma, you can find it on the web, that is good for hydration - you just add it to your drinking water. I really like this product, their intro price is not that expensive (less than 10 dollars) Are you interested at all in alternative or herbal remedies? I know of some good resources if you are. Please let me know if you try Xooma or if you want to know more about natural remedies for dehydration and ms. I'm sending you positive thoughts and lots of white light - and a healthy dose of h20!
