how do you change the picture by your name

can anyone out there tell me what I am doing wrong? I clicked on the delete current and browsed to get the picture I wanted and it keeps saying update successful but I still have this green waving person on here.... where did my picture go and how do I get rid of this dude??? Thanks in advance :)
