at what age does a kitten turn into a cat? since it's one of our years for seven of there's. i always assumed it was after a year, someone told me different i wanted to confirm this with cat (pet owners) to find out others opinions. i was thinking it was three of our years at 21 they are of age lol and they are a adult.

According to the show rules, a kitten can't be shown as a kitten after 8 months. Cats & dogs don't age at the same rate. A cat is sexually mature at 6 months, making it about 12 or 13 at 6 months. They normally don't finish growing (especially males) until they are almost 2 & some guys don't finish until they are 21 or 23 or so. I tell people to count the 1st six months as 10 yrs, the second as 5 and then about 5 years for the rest of their lives. But a cat isn't considered old until they are 9 normally, so, there ya go...

I consider it around a year. That's about when they stop growing. I know the age doesn't fit, but their body size does. I guess it all depends on the person and there probably isn't a true scientific right or wrong answer.
