What age would you be?

If you could pick any age and stay that age forever, what age would you pick and why? I would go back to the age of 40, my life partner was still alive, my parents were alive and my children were grown already.

Probably 30 because I didn't have all the aches and pains that I have now. :)

Once I had so much pain that I could hardly stand. The doctor prescribed a high dose of Ibuprofen. After taking that I didn't feel a thing.

I would probably go back to age 21. I think that is a good age to begin life again. I only would go back if I could take back with me all of the knowledge and understanding I have now, if not I probably would be making the same mistakes and be right back where I am today. Although, I am not really complaining about where I am, I just believe I could have accomplished more on all sorts of levels.

I like the way you think. Being able to go back and take the learning with you would be a wonderful thing. If I could do that, my life would have been very different too. But I think that we just have to keep moving, learn from our mistakes and do better..Thank you for such a great response, take care...

Initially,I would say 30 years old because that is when I finally became comfortable "in my own skin" and really came into my own. However, I did not have my family. I would have to say that I look forward to the future with great enthusiasm as I watch my four kids grow. The age I would pick is age 40, my age this next year as the age I would want to stay at forever.

Yes, the 30's were good. I know that I came to accept who I am and accept my Mom for who she was and love her unconditionally. I met the man of my dreams in my 30's. The 30's made me a grandmother and I just seemed to settle into myself. It is great for me to have grown children, and I am now watching the grandchildren grow. Now, in my 40's I am peaceful with lots of life. Thank you for responding and I wish you a happy 40th Birthday in advance. Take care...

I really dont know what age to go back to.. I have been doing genealogy for about 11 years now.. And what I have found on my family tree I would like to go back in my younger years to ask my grandparents and greatgrandparents about their family history...Most of my mother's side of the family lived in NYC and the Bronx.. I am hoping to some day go to NYC and the Bronx to see if any of their homes are still standing.. My sister saw my mom's house and took pictures of it.. My mom couldnt believe it was still standing and lived in.. It has been about 70 years since she was back on Mickle Ave.. Sorry I ramble on and on..

Thank you.. Yes I would love to go back to the Bronx.. Its been years since I have been there.. My dad grew up on Sullivan Ave..(I think) afew streets over from Mickle Ave.. Some other family members lived on E 137 Ave. My mom and I was talking today about NYC.. I got one of the marriage record of my gtgrandfather.. His second marriage.. and I was tell her about it.. We talked about the houses in the Bronx area.. She said that probley the houses on e 137 st are gone.. I dont know.. Some of my other family lived in Manhattan and then moved to the Bronx. Hopefully one day I well get back up there.. and you can show me around..lol

Wow, that's a nice thought, going back to ask grandparents about your family history. And it's funny, I live in the Bronx. I hope that you are able to come to NY and see for yourself some of your family's past homes. The Bronx has a lot of very old buildings. Take care, thanks for responding.

Thanks for writing back. I am not too familiar with the 137th Street area, I live further uptown. But I am going to ask a friend of mine at work about the area and if she knows of any older houses are still there. If you get up here, let me know. Perhaps we could go house hunting! LOL!!! Take care...

I'd go back to age 24. That would cover all my bases. I was a single mom, I was happy, my dad was still alive, I was in good health, and had it made in the shade. If you're happy you have it all my friend...

Well, it is nice that you see how your life was and that you would like to correct it. The age 18 is still so young that we do not always know what is good and what isn't. But being that you see that you would like to change things, you still can. And perhaps you can do things to let other younger people know that you tried certain things and they were not good for you. You could encourage them to study to achieve a better life. Give them your wisdom...Thank you for responding. Take care...

I would go back to the age of 22. I'd still be considered young but old enough to do as I please. Your reasons are really thought provoking. They make one stop and ponder who will be with us later in life and what effect that will have.

That's a good age, old enough but not too old! I guess we never know what is ahead of us, people, situations and such. Such is life, take care and thanks for responding.
