Can marriage survive infidelity?

it depends purly on the couple itself. i think it can if both sides can work hard at earning trust and of course uncovering the REAL reason why one or both sides cheated on each other. it will take time, and a lot of marriage counseling and of course a lot of dedication on both parts. if they want it enough, and they truly love each other enough, then cheating can be overcome. it just depends on the people involved and the reason the indifelity started. in some cases it can't be saved because one side will not reason or has given up on the relationship in general. if it were more impulse, the person who did will have to look deep into their self and figure out the real reason he/she cheated and then adress that problem with their partner. either way. it can be done.

Well I think this all depends from person to person. In my opinion if that is the case with me..then I would definately check out the circumstances in which my partner had to look out for another one..Was it me that led me to this situation..I believe at the end of the day YOU ARE THE CREATOR OF YOUR OWN UNIVERSE (DESTINY)..So would check out within myself first that what is it within me that invited such a situation..At the end I am human and know that even the other person is human..so if my partner wants to be back with me then I will talk it out with him..and FORGIVE and FORGET about the incident and move ahead in Life..

I think a marriage can survive infidelity but the partner has to be willing to forgive her/his spouse. That would be the most important thing. The trust would be lost of course and it would take a lot of work to build trust back again. Both parties have to be willing to work at it and the one that has been the injured party can not continue bring up the affair. You have to agree to wipe the slate clean and continue on from there. It will be work but it can be done.
