A friend of mine gave us one as they were moving to Floria and she didn't want to take him. I have to say that it is my favorite pet and my kids adore him. I was worried about him at first and yet now I don't know what we would do without him. I have a dog also, but I like the dragon better!!

My partner really wants one of these. Are they high maintainence or easy to look after? Could you tell me the average life expectancy? Thanks! I'd love to see a picture of yours. What's his name? :)

Actually, they are very low maintenance. The cages have to be cleaned monthly and you have to feed them of course, but they are easy to care for. There are certain things that you can't feed them, but ours loves mango baby food! His name is Mr. D. I am not sure of what the life expectancy is- I think it is about 15 years. An interesting fact is that they hibernate in the winter months and will not eat or anything. It is neat to see them. They also have no teeth. I don't have a photo of him yet. If I get one and can figure out how to put it on here I will .

My son jas bearded dragons. They are cute, and they are contained in their terrariuns. Unless he takes them out ofcourse. they eat any leafy greens that we eat, andthey love apples, bananas, grapes and most fruit. they also eat meal worms and crickets, which have a tendency to escape, by the way.

I didn't know that they would eat apples. They will eat greens, but you don't want to give them iceburg lettuce as it gives them diaherra. Ours eats kale and canned greens also.
