Hi, I have a home daycare and I also use to teach in a daycare center. Hopefully I can give you some ideas. For the staff handbook you would want to include things like....job descriptions...what is expected of the employee each day....policies on hours, sick days, vacation time, benefits, etc......dress code....training requirements...staff meeting requirements (usually once a month)....confidentiality....gosh I'm drawing a blank right now as to what else.... Parent Handbook....here you want all the policies on sickness, potty training, vacations, payments, food, closed holidays, hours of operation, late fees, etc.....In my daycare handbook, I have a spot on the bottom of each page where the parents must initial. This shows that they have read each policy on that page.
