My cat's missing :(

My cat, Pee Wee, had been acting very weird for a couple of weeks, starting about a couple of weeks ago. All our cat's used to be indoor cats, but then we had a baby in our home and they all got the boot! This was about 4 years ago, so the cat's just got used to it. Well, about a month ago my cat Pee Wee started sitting at our back door (it's a glass door) and just stared at us for hours. It was so sad, I would go out and pet him and talk to him telling him, "I'm sorry, but you know you can't come in the house." And I would just stay outside with him for a little while then go back in. Well this went on for a couple of weeks, then all of a sudden my mom asked if any of us had seen Pee Wee, and then I got to thinking about it and I hadn't! I went around asking some of our close-knit neighbors and one said that when their cat's were about to die or if they were sick then the would take off and just never come back, they know this because their cat's were old and wouldn't just run away, it's because they were about to die. I just think that's so sad when I think about how he would just sit at out back door and just watch us :( I hope he's okay and comes home! He's not very old and has had all his shots so I don't see why he would get sick from the normal things cats would get sick from. Has your cat ever acted like this before?

I hope he's alright too but I don't think he would go live with someone else after all these years. Don't you think he would've left a long time ago if he wanted to? I don't know, I just hope he's okay, thanks!

maybe he didnt leave.Maybe some kid or something took him.My dog diappeared a few months back and we had him since he was 2 weeks old.He has never took off before. We searched all through the neighborhoods, knocked on doors, went to animal control ...and no luck. Then i decided to put up a missing reward. All of a sudden the same day a nighbor says "they found him"I was so mad cuz it was a young punk in the nighborhood. And my dog is pure breed pittbull so i know they were just trying to sell him.

Eww, I hate little kids like that...even grown-ups like that who steal animals to sell them, how retarded. The little punk, I hope you didn't pay him the reward!

I am very sorry that Pee Wee is missing. I have never ever let a cat of mine outdoors. Even though they have their shots, they can be attacked by dogs, cats, or hit by a car. They can have an accident, and need help. I do hope yours will return, and will stay in the house now.

I am sorry your cat is missing. I hope you find him soon, maybe when you find him you could find him a new home where he would be allowed inside the house. I am confused why you wouldn't let your cats in the house because you had a baby, and if you couldn't then I wish you would have found them new homes instead of putting them out on the street. Domesticated cats aren't really equipped to survive out on the streets without shelter, plus they crave human friends.

Even though they were put outside (I had six cats and all shedded like crazy and we didn't want the hair all over the 'new born' baby...I'm sorry that doesn't make sense to you!) they weren't "put on the streets", we have a big house with shelter outside, a huge wooded canopy that covers a lot of the backyard, we went outside with them every day so I do take offense to what you are "trying" to say about us putting the cats "out on the streets" as if we just dumped them into a trash can or something. We live in a small town in a suburban housing area. Maybe you should ask questions and get the whole story before you accuse someone of not caring for their animals as they should because I'm the biggest animal person you'd ever want to meet so I do take great offense to what you're saying to me. Anyways, my discussion was about whether or not this had ever happened to you, with your cats. I wasn't asking for a discussion of you criticizing me.
