When does the senseless killing for medical purposes become unethical?

i have --- way back in high school. i thought it was really gross, cutting up a frog, looking at its internal organs. it took me days to recover. i'm glad there are computer programs now that make one see the internal parts of the animals without killing them.

A lot of schools are using computer programs for dissection instead of animals. It is harder though because you have to put the animal back together and bring it back to life. It is my understanding however that animals used for dissection are not killed for the purpose of dissection. FOr example slaughter houses will sell the organs to schools.
