all you have to do is be on time, dress appropriately, shake hands firmly, establish eye ontact, relax, smile, and show that you have excellent communication skills. doing all this may seem difficult but u just have to give it your best shot. The decision to hire or not to hire an applicant is usually made in the first five minutes of the interview and is heavily influenced by the first impression. The rest of the time is used to verify that the decision made was the correct one.

You hit the target. Those are very important things to remember when you are on a job interview. Another factor too is that you need to know the background of the company you are applying with so that if the interviewer will ask you if you got any question for him/her.....you can show that you did research the company and you are serious about the job judging by the extra time you did in getting to know your prospective employer.

Yes i agree with you and these seem to be the all of the most important point that one should follow when they are going to face an interview. Dress and attitude really do take the most important place when you are going to take an interview but one should also know the recent happenings before going to an interview and should also be well prepared in the subject that concerns this job. It is also important to know about the history of the company that you are going to give interview.

yes i am aware of all this...so far i have attended 3 interviews and i have got all the three jobs.... one factor that u seem to have missed out is "confidence". when u have no confidence, you tend to do all these slip-ups like stammering and not making eye contact... confidence is the biggest KEY in getting any job!

In my opinion, I feel that the minute you enter the interview room, that few seconds are crucial to whether you give out the right signals to be the right choice. Whenever I go for an interview, I would always dress a lil different from what people may come in. Of course, it needs to be appropriate to the job I'm applying for, but something that makes me stand out from the long lines of hopeful applicants, and at the same time portray a bright, cheerful impression of myself. Things are lot different when you enter with a bright cheerful impression. You may notice that the interviewer would talk to you in a different way, and the ice breaks even faster than usual. Which of course is crucial if you want to take control of the interview to your own favour and advantage.
