If u have taken any kind of exam you must have seen people just hovering around the books so as to grasp as much as possible hours before their exam starts..Do u think doing so helps..or its better to be regular during studies??

I think studying a little every night, getting a good night's sleep before the exam and then reading over your notes for an hour or two right before the exam to refresh your memory is the best way to prepare. Staying up all night to "cram" right before the test just makes you tired and your thinking less clear.

ya u r right this is the best way to study. But there r always situations in which we don't have any prior preperation of the subject.Maybe we don,t like the subject at all or any other reason! In these cases last minute study really helps .What say ??

Regular study yucks......Yo man last minute study definitely helps. I have an experience of 4 years and many papers. The one night stand is the best formula to cross all the hurdles of examination.

To others, cramming may work while to some it may not. To be honest, when I'm still studying I'm used to cram alot. I study the night before the exam and sometimes an hour before the exam. The good thing is I still pass when I cram to study. Personally, I believe it is still far better if you study ahead and really put your mind in studying. Its not in the hours or how long you've studied, what's important is how much you absorbed and retained in youe mind.(",) Good luck to your studies!(",)

last minute work to my opinion undone.gong through the books last minute for the exam will not serve the purpose but if a candidate studied on a regular basis and if he go through the pages in last minute it will be advantageous for him to answer the question.thats it what i followed and i want people to follow this

i dont really knoe i have found that in the past four years of high school that if i study in advance i would forget all the information so i would either study the night before the exam or the day of. i think it is just in some peoples minds that if they sit there and look at it long enough they will knoe it. usually when i spend to much time studing i forget what i am doing and remember nothing on the exam.

oh man i wish!!! being an incorrigible procrastinator, i leave things to the last minute ALL the time. i never seem to have enought time! and this usually blows up in my face during the exam time, whene i stay up like craxy the night before and try to cram it all in. the same thing happens before the exams as well when i desperately try to clutch at anything that the others maybe discussing, hoping that it sticks in my head. i guess theres no doubt about the fact that one has to be regular in their studies. theres no way that one can make up for the wasted time. speaking from my personal experience, i can safely vouch that trying to learn the syllabus of 3 months in 6-7 hrs is in no way possible. the human brain just cant withstand that much of an information overload(unfortunately!) and it would be foolhardy to believe that one can remeber ALL of the things one has studied just prior to the exam.

Well for me last minute study works a lot. I never was a person who studied early when its exams. Its not that whether you study early or last minute what matters is that you do it that you will get through.

You will know fresh information if you read before the exam, but I think if you read too much it may happen that you will be very tired and will not make a good exam.

that depends on how you do it... well it works for me but i guess its mostly because i already have those things in my brain and the last minute study would just be to pull out those stored facts from the nutshell. you could also do that if you're listening to lectures and discussions in class. and it could work even if you don't open your books after class to review that day's lessons. i hardly do that.. and besides nothing goes into my head with that method. i just use my time in class the way it should be used and then study for an exam the night before or an hour before. it's better

I disagree that last minute study works, but yes if you start to study say 15 days before exams, i think thats enough. Most of we engineers work just before some days of exams, but dont make it some hours please as its not that easy and we have to put in lots of brains to understand the concepts over there!!

Well, it doesn't work for me When I have to study for a test, I usually study one or two nights before the test, but not only on the last minute

It works on maximum time but its better to do regular studies to score good marks.

sometimes last minute studies work in exams because it is fresh in your mind.but if you have studied whole year and refresh it in the last moments then it is more fresh and forever. last minute studies is for exams and whole year studies is for complete life. last minute studies is like a writing on a clay near beach, and whole year study is like a engraving on the stone.

i think that studying regularly long before the exam date will help you to remember the information and understand it better. i dont like to study so much just before the exam starts, i only do that because everyone else is standing there studying too. i feel that it helps a little bit to keep your mind fresh on the ideas of the course when i do that last minute studying. although it doesn't make me understand the material very well, it helps to put some information in my short-term memory just long enough so i can spill some into my exam.

im the kind of person who usually do things at the last minute. it there's a long exam, i would review all my notes and read books a day before taking the exam, if it's a short exam, i would review my notes just hours before taking it. sometimes it works for me and sometimes it don't. but hey, i manage not to fail in any subject so i guess it kinda works for me. although, i know i could have done better in the exams if i study regularly. therefore, its better to study regularly.

It's best to be prepared ahead of time. Cramming is really taxing for the brain. The quick studying may boost short-term memory but it sacrfices the long term one. It works for some but not to all.
