My computer's mother board doesn't support RD or DDR RAM. Is SD available now a days?

In my country it's still being sold but if you have trouble finding one then check out the buy and sell websites like craigslist and ebay. Sdram the last I remembered was for Pentium 3 models. I still have the old motherboard with me. Be careful when choosing sdrams though, your motherboard tends to be very choosy. I once bought 2 different brands of rams even if they were both 128mb and only 1 was detected. Since then I had to only buy that certain brand and also the same capacity. Some motherboards don't like unequal rams like in one slot you have 128mb and on the other slots you only have 64mb. As much as possible try to keep everything on the same capacity. MOST OF ALL, you got to know your the speed of your sdram. Is your sdram a pc-133 or a pc-166? If you don't know know and buy different speeds of ram then your motherboard will adopt the ram with the slowest speed. Like you have 2 128mb or sdram with the same brand except one is just pc-133 and the other is pc-166. Your motherboard will automatically lower the 166 to 133 and it'll come out as 256mb of ram at pc-133.

you should go to www.newegg.com They have almost everything that is computer related and might have that in there. If you want to you can buy a brand new motherboard (or a new comp) really cheap from them.

It's still available, but the price can be a bit high since very few companies manufacturer it anymore. In the US www.newegg.com is the best place to buy it. Ebay is a good place to look as well. You will have the best luck with online computer stores. Retail stores really don't want to waste shelf space with RAM that few people use.
