So what do you do when you believe in someone to the point that you stick for them even when you know they are wrong, only to have them leave you hanging in the wind? How do you face the people that you have argued with? Do you just drop your head in shame and quietly slide off into the shadows?

What I've done in the past is, tell the people that I've argued with over the person that I've defended, that they were right; then, I normally stop having contact with the one I 'went out on a limb' for... It's not right when the person just leaves you hanging and doesn't 'fess' up to what they have done. It's hard but I don't need to have a friend (so-called) that would do that to me.
