whats up with those shaved cats?

I have long haired cats, and mine are shaved from time to time. I do not do this because I think it looks good. Persian cats will get a lot of mats and sometimes they only way to get rid of them is to have it done. My black Persian was just shaves a week ago, I feel bad because he looks so silly but I know he feels better and it will grow back. Have a look at him. I just took this picture for your discussion, don't laugh at him!!! Just kidding.

I sure they are very nice, but I never like the way they looked. I like my cats to be fully haired.

why would people shave cats? cats are beautiful pets and there's no need to shave them

They are actually very sweet cats. I used to think they were ugly. Just like some animals, they are so ugly they are cute.
