Exciting to know that such figures are available. These are just from the book of Genesis so perhaps if we continue on, we could get the number of years from creation to our present time. I notice that if the flood happened about 2,251 years from Adam, there were so many people already since men multiply accordingly not arithmetically but geometrically. How wonderful is God really.

It's wonderful to know that we can find out how many years have passed since creation. Who have given to us all of these things except God? Can any man contemplate on these? God is great really and all-knowing and Almighty. Praise him for all of such things. Praise the Lord!

It's a very exciting knowledge. This is my first time to know these. I hope that you can finish the necessary books for us to know exactly the number of years that passed until we come to our present year.

Very useful information. That means that we can get the number of years from the beginning up to now. I hope that you finish your projects.

I never knew this. It's interesting. Can you tell me how you learned this? I know that you have written books about this topic. I have checked out your website. It's very interesting. I would be curious to know how you know so much.

It's really very interesting that's why I myself am patiently translating from the Septuagint (the New Testament is finished already). These data are all contained in the Holy Bible. As I have been saying, the Holy Bible is complete. Pls read my comment on Response No. 1. After my baptism into Christ on October 1, 1989, I came to understand the Holy Bible fast (before conversion, I did not understand anything). I was saying I don't know anything about Greek, I don't know any Greek word at all. But in May 1991, when I saw the Greek Alphabet, I found out that I know and speak many Greek words. That started my translation of the Holy Bible from Greek to English. To be able to translate, study and patience and interest are must. I have been so overwhelmed by the Word of God, simple and so beautiful that I am giving the rest of my life to it and hopefully, God will allow me to finish translating all the books in the Old Testament. I am very poor and wanting of material things especially food and mostly, the Word of God becomes my food. And because I don't have money, THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English) which was finished in 1992 yet was not published then. It was only published last year thru lulu.com where I spent not a single cent for its publication and other books found at http://www.lulu.com/arseniajoaquin God has His own time and perhaps it was not yet then the right time. I'm very grateful to God for finally allowing its publication. Only few copies are sold but at least they are already available for public consumption. I am very willing to help those who'd like to learn Greek. In fact, it's so easy now because I have already published GREEK-ENGLISH (Grammar & Vocabulary), and WORDS in THE WILL New Testament which serve as guide in learning Greek and the Greek words used are already there. Unlike when I was just starting, groping in the dark where I could have references. But with these books, I now easily translate the Old Testament. It's just time that I lack because I have no money for my needs that I also spend much time for posting at myLot now to earn a little. I hope that God will continue to give me strength and the courage to go on with my translation work. And of course the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that I need so much in my work of translation. May God bless all of us. SEN

thank you. i had known numbers similar to these. i hadn't seen the actual calculation but they seem correct. So how old is the Earth? According to the Jewish calandar i have behind this is the year 5767. Do you think they have it right? is the earth, contrary to what scientests think, only 5,767 years old?

In my first computation using some versions of the Holy Bible, there are about 6,000 years that passed from the date of creation. However, in my translation, in this book Genesis alone, I found out some discrepancies. I translated Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus from the Septuagint or LXX or Greek Old Testament which I believe to be purer than others because those who translated it from the Hebrew language are Israelites who are the people of God and God will not allow falsehood or mistakes to taint His Word. In Genesis alone, I found out a discrepancy of more than a thousand years already and that is up to Israel only. There is even 1 generation omitted by the versions, practically all of them are the same, they just evade from using the same word and they resort to synonyms or paraphrase. I am rushing to finish Numbers and Deuteronomy; I'm now encoding Numbers and finished translating some chapters of Deuteronomy. As soon as I finish these 2 books, we'd be able to see other discrepancies. After Genesis to Deuteronomy (Greek to English), I will search for the other verses on the genealogy of the Lord Iesous Christ to complete the computation and determine the number of years from creation up to the present based on the Septuagint.
