I used to make a ton of letters and cards to send to Love Letters, Inc, which was an organization that sent mail and small gifts to kids with serious illnesses. I thought of them today and was trying to find their website, but apparently it disappeared! I did find several really neat similar sites though. I think these ones are even a little better than Love Letters, because with Love Letters you were basically writing anonymous, non-personal letters to children and you never even got to know who was going to recieve it. With these two sites I found (plus a third one in the UK) they actually list the children's names, ages, interests, diagnosises, etc, so you can really personalize your mail to them. Plus they list the children's siblings, so you can send mail to the siblings as well! The sites I found were called Hugs And Hope, Make A Child Smile, and Post Pals. You can read more about them here: http://www.blogcharm.com/4kids/

This is great! I know that it must bring many smiles and heartwarming to the children. I know a lady who also does this for senior citizens with illness or are just alone. I think it is a wonderful thing you do!
