Liprings

Okay so I had posted a few days ago about getting liprings. I got mine a week ago since Friday, and I have to start work again on monday with a clear retainer in. I had a question though, since this somewhat startled me. I was changing my lip ring over to a diamond stud, and the plastic that you put in first, you push it from the back through to the front (of your lip). When I was pushing mine through, I saw what I thought might have been Puss come out on the end.... I was a bit startled. I thought about it though, and as I was pushing the ring through, I couldn't find the outside hole easily, so I was moving around a bit in my lip (which hurt!!). Maybe it was a possibility that it was dead skin or something from the inside of my mouth? What are your opinions. Anything would really help. I think I will visit the place I got my piercing at and have them look at it, tell them what I saw, and see what they think. Maybe it's not a big deal.

I've got some piercings and it sounds like you have the beginnings of an infection to me. I thought that when you had a new piercing you had to leave it in and not remove it for a number of weeks. Don't go to the place where you got the piercing as they'll say you're OK rather than admitting that you've got an infection. Instead, perhaps go to the pharmacy and get them to check it out. They'll probably say to go to your doctor as infections from piercings can get nasty very quickly and get serious. Hope everything turns out to be OK. lol

If your really worried call your doctor, they may be able to help you over the phone. I know most jobs dont' let you wear the jewlery when on the clock, my roomate had to take her lip ring out all the time when she was at work.

My brother had one and he developed a keloid. It's like a small ball of scar tissue. You might have hit one or it was where your lip was healing.
