Old discussions with no responses

I've gone through the list of discussions with no responses but it's very hard to try and veiw ones that might be older then a couple of hours. If you go to a person's profile it shows their discussions, but again finding ones with no responses isn't always easy but I have found some that can sometimes be weeks or months old. I wish there was a section when you go to a person's profile to show something like "My discussions with no response." Or maybe an area on the main page for "My friends discussions with no repsonses". It would make it easier to find these and thus we can see if we can post to them, especially older ones that might have been missed. Lets face it if we are posting to ones with no responses it helps out both the person who started the discussion as well as the one who is responding. Is it hard for you to find older discussions without responses? Or do you have a method for discovering them?

Nope I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I kind of prefer being at the top of the response list because after several pages of responses I don't feel like they need my response any more, nor will they even notice it to read. So I do like finding discussions that don't have a ton of responses, new or old.

Same here. I like finding the ones were I think my input will mean something, not just be another post. With the ones that don't have many it makes it easier to do that with.

I wonder if there is a way to suggest things like that to the administrators. I would like to be able to find quality discussions from my friends that need a boost. What about a line for my friends discussions with less than 5 responses? Maybe there could also be a link to see new responses to my discussions so we don't have to weed through pages of old responses. After I go to my friends discussions I go to the section for the ones with no responses and usually make it about 4 pages in before getting frustrated.

Oh I know when you are trying to weed through it can get very frustrating. I know I have. Like earlier I was going through the ones with no responses and I was on page 50 with hours old ones and then suddenly it was ones just minutes old. Makes it hard when you are trying to find ones that might have been missed.

I agree, I have been trying to find discussions that have no comments lately but it is just so hard to find quality discussions. I have quit responding to just any discussion. It is a waste of my time if it is going to be deleted by mylot for being a poor discussion.

I know what you mean. I don't want to post something only to then have it not count. That's not good for anyone. Half the time the ones on the link for discussions with no responses are mainly all the current ones that will end up deleted sooner or later. I try to go through to older ones but I've had it reset on me. I'll be on page 100 of them and suddenly I'm gettng ones posted a few minutes before instead of hours before. It's discouraging.

I agree with you. I think MyLot should post links on our profile pages to our discussions that either have no responses or have not been marked with a best response yet. Usually, I go through the same channels you do to find discussions with no replies; but it's very time consuming to do so. I also think it's sad to see how many good discussions are missed. Hopefully MyLot will come up with a better way to deal with this.

I'd love one also for ones with no responses. I know I try to go via the profile page to find some posts to post too. Some though choose the best response within hours of posting so makes you wonder why bother posting.

I agree with you. It's quite hard, unless you searched in someone's profile; which is still hard because the discussions with no responses are always sorted after those with recent replies. I think the best way to solve this issue is to have a section (in the main page) that displays non responded discussions in random. Thus, all discussions will have a fair chance to be viewd by different users in different times.

Yes it is and I agree with you as you have to go through all the pages which takes ages. So I think they should have a section just for the Friends with no responses. It would certainly make it easier.

Try going to the last page on the page / profiles. That should take you to the ones without responses easier because the ones with the most recent responses will be first. That's what I do.

Weird. I hadn't noticed that before. I guess I'll have to pay closer attention. LOL Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

Actually I have done that but doesn't always work. The reason for the discussions are posted by when it was responded to last. So let's say I started here a month ago. I made up a bunch of discussions that get posted on the first 2 weeks and then nothing added to them. I think post a few more discussions and I have 3 that get no responses and then others over the next weeks get postings but the ones I made in the first 2 weeks still haven't gotten any more. Well now I have 3 stuck right in the middle of the listing with no responses to them. Ones behind it just haven't been active since I created the ones with no responses. Believe me I've seen that happen a lot especially with members who have been here a long time.

I'd love to be able to search out some discussion that don't have any attention yet to see if its something that I'd like to speak to. It would be a great way to get more discussions moving.

I like this topic...I think it would be fun if you could get into those topics too.I was looking at my (0) discussions and it struck me as somewhat comical at what people don't reply to.lol :)

Unfortunelly takes time to do, but you will find them and can start answering them. What I do I answer some and people come back to you. Just be patient and you get results after a while.

well they are usually at the bottome of my list because every time there is a response to one of my posts it goes technically up the list but i do think it would be a good idea to have a different section for posts without respons like you suggested

while ive only one friend at the moment *wink* ive found going immediately to the last page of the "no response" section helpful and working my way up. usually find some potentially intersting discussions that way.

How do you go to the last page? There is no last page button and I've gone into the 100's before and still have more to go.
