Mylot gave me a "penny for my thoughts yesterday"

United States

Yesterday I responded to alot of discussions and today when I checked my earnings I noticed I had made one whole cent...a penny for my thoughts. Has anyone else noticed today that their earnings are "goofy?"

Maybe your earnings will surprise you on your next days earnings, there has been a couple of times when I did a lot hours work and received very little but then the next day hardley did any and surprisingly got a good amount so just see what happens on your next pay....things do seem to work out....:)

I agree with lilaclady. I have experienced a lot of times that I only get few earnings on that day but on the next and so forth, it's been increasing and it's sometimes the least that you expected. :) So, no worries, my friend! :)

Well to me it is probably because they don't consider your answers as "quality answers " ... no offense but I have checked a few of the discussions you have answered and mostly are 2-3 lines ... It seems that they think it is not enough I am not making the rule here but rather observing, and if you read some of the discussions started on how to earn more on mylot you will see that people advise to make meaningful answers of more than 4-5 lines Another tip to increase your income is to rate people as much as you can and as fairly as possible ... finally, I have noticed that submitting tags does help as well I hope this will help you boost your earnings for the next time Good luck to you

Yes, rating people does help, as does tagging. I try to write at least three or four sentences, as I think that this improves my earnings. But one thing I still don't understand is whether a good discussion I start on one day but carries over for a week or so -- does that continue to earn me money? CAn anyone tell me? Perhaps we are all in the dark!

I have no idea how the earnings work here as I've read this from someone else in the last day or so too. My earnings seem to be around $0.35 - $0.90 a day depending on how much time I spend here, I have no idea how it's all worked out as some days I get higher earnings for less posts and others it seems lower, but I don't remember to check every day. The site has now got over 76,000 members, that's a lot of people to keep track of - I guess it could be down to the algorithms or whatever they're called. Fingers crossed that it will all sort itself out within a few days, otherwise I guess it wouldn't hurt to drop the myLot admin or customer support team an email to ask if there is anything wrong with your account in particular... :)

Hi, we are paid for the effort, but not enough, I guess!!!!. Guess what, I am confident this earning will increase, when the total membership increases to 1 million and above. Than we will have alot to respond and also have many friends in mylot. Just kepp trying and the basic thing. Sunbmitting good contents and responding with good reply. We wll will be there at the top. Cheers

I do not understand how MyLot some days awards us for the "work" we have done. There are days I look and can not believe they gave me so much compared to how I felt I earned. Then there are days like you just described.I figure it all will balance in the end and it is part of MyLot's growing phase.

yeah sometimes our earnings are really low for lots of response. i experience that before but then after a day it increase. i hope will give us a more accurate computation of our earnings so that we dont have to ask question.

A penny for your thoughts is a very old and apt line to be used on mylot. There has been a few occasions when i have looked back the next day on my posts and noticed that the earnings have increased by 1 cent lol. But have good friends on mylot is well worth more than that. Have a nice day from Deeeky.

Yes, it weems that they don't give as much any more, and they've taken away the blue words that seem to generate more money. Perhaps they are on theverge of going bankrupt. I hope not, since i haven't yet made enough to be paid.

I'm new here so don't really know what is normal. For instance, if you don't go online one day, does that mean you earn nothing from discussions you have started and are still being read? Or do you only earn income on a daily basis by contributing something every single day?
