Are you raising bilingual kids?

I speak English with my son, while my husband speaks his native Spanish. My son understands both equally well, but speaks more Spanish, understandably, since we live in Guatemala. He seems to realize that some people need English, though. Any tips or comments from other parents with bilingual children?
