yessir, as in subject - the dakota has a very squeaky left front. turning - bouncing in road - any motion at all left front causes dad gum squeaking. annoying? to say the least. if i understand the culprit, it's a sealed joint tied into steering and suspension? thought i had read somewhere that if a person could inject some wd40, then some lithium grease that would help? just where is that sealed joint anyway. shows how much i know about front end. any help would be appreciated. -T.O.G.

Dodge Dakotas (I have 2) had a recall for the kingpin. My son, who is also my mechanic, says this could be the cause of the squeaking, check with any Dodge dealer, they should be able to tell if yours was one of the models recalled and --if so and you are not the original owner-- if the repairs were ever done. By the way, I don't 52 is old at all.
