If your laundry room is in your house (as opposed to being in the garage) is it safe to use dryer sheets with birds in the home?

I've lived in a home with an indoor laundry room for the past three years and haven't had any problems. At one point my cockatiels laid eggs and started raising their babies behind the washing machine. It sure was a pain moving it so I could get the babies from behind it. My lovebird even plays with the used dryer sheets when he sees them on the floor.

Thanks. I couldn't find anything either way regarding birds and dryer sheets. Since they are so sensitive to everything I didn't want to take the risk.

Just to clarify, we use Bounce dryer sheets. I really don't know if other brands use any chemicals that could be harmful, but I doubt it would be a problem.
