Playstation 3 | Would this moster set its foot in the market?

I've heard many and MANY negative points about ps3. Its yet so famous cell processor and fairly big hard disk are compelling but there are some heating issues. What do you think. Would it be able to set its foot in the international market? Would it be able to beat XBOX 360°.
