I was at a club awhile back for a tribute with 6 bands to the man in black, Johnny Cash, & met a great group of people here in Minnesota. They gave me a business card & I finally went to their web site. I eventually went to one of their meet-ups. It was a night of a movie & drinks afterward. I of course had pop as I don't drink alcohol. Anyhow it's a group called, Hippiesmeetup. They have groups all over the states. They do different types of activities. I've had a blast meeting some awesome oldtime hippes like myself face to face for a fun time. Anyhow check out their site to see if they're in your area. Well it's a pity I am so far from Minnesota, as I would love to join! I guess I am more a child of the 70's, than the 60's, so not sure if I could really be called a true hippy, but I am often described as an "ageing hippy" now - LOL! - and I certainly had the beads, and the braids, and the barefeet, and kaftans when I was about 15!! I still love a lot of the music from that era too! Glad you had such fun!

Gramps, you really are a groovy person!;) I wish I could also go there, but the big deal is money. By the way, I'm from the philippines. So even if I want to be there, my main problem would be expenses. I think I have to go look for the link that you've provided then, because I am also interested on other cultures and groups. I also want to experience some from your generation.. Thanks!;)

This sounds like fantastic fun, I wasborn to late to be a hippy but I love all that old stuff. All my friends agree that I have an inner hippy like other people have an inner child lol.
