I like to try everything on the menu, I've not found snake yet, but rest assured I would eat it if it was there. I have had eel, that's the closest I can get - it was smoked so it didn't taste like chicken (though I actually have never tasted smoked chicken as far as I remember...).
I have eaten wood pigeon, wild boar, emu and ostrich. I saw 'frogfish' on a menu in Portugal once, so I ordered it! - turned out to be monkfish!! Portugal has fantastic food, the regional dish of the Alentejo (excuse spelling) district (I think) is pork and mussels - bit of a different angle on the surf 'n turf idea... It was absolutely georgeous, though to be fair it sounds like it should be appalling!

I get totally freaked out by snakes. Just the thought of them amkes me shiver so I don't think I'd ever try eating one. I'm a really big baby when it comes to things like this. If somebody tells me to "try something" I ask what it is and won't eat it unless I know what it is.LOL!

lol, what if someone says its chicken but actually it was a snake? but i'm sure you will still ask it as there's a big difference between chicken and snake's bone structures. ahhh.. really can't take eating it.. :)

I've never eaten snake and have no plans to do so in the future! I probably could make myself eat it if I were starving, as long as I wasn't the one who had to kill it and prepare it.
I've eaten octopus, though. Is it similar in taste?

Oh yes! I have experienced eating a snake already. But at first, I never knew it was a snake at all because it just tastes like chicken. Then, I was wondering then that if it was a chicken, why does it have so many little bones? Well, i didn't mind it at first so i continued eating. After dinner, I told my Dad that was a very nice chicken. But he laughed all the way down! He was not expecting that I didn't know it was actually a snake! Oh my! I hurriedly went to the washroom after he had said that. I tried to brush my teeth and my mouth. lol That was crazy! But yeah, i enjoyed eating it. And now, I'm even laughing remembering it. I think the next time people will serve me a snake food, i think i'm gonna accept it now. It just tastes like chicken.:)

Perhaps with a baked potato and some asparagus and some garlic French bread. Or maybe with some rice pilaf and some zucchini and a roll. Chicken is ok, we eat it a lot because its cheaper than steak but oh boy, I love a good steak!

Never ate snake before.
And if I could I would probably taste it.
Its nice to have some nice experience and stories to talk to friends about.
