the thing i really hate in the kitchen, and one of the worst inventions, is tupperware, we have got 3 cupboards full of it, plus a few big box's in the shed, notice you can stack itin the pantry in perfect neat piles, then when you open the door, the lot comes flying out at you, then you can never find a lid for the bit you want to use, and if you do it's usually broken, then after a couple of months the lids don't fit properly anyway, i have been slowly giving it away over several months to charity, my wife hasn't noticed yet, i still have a long way to go, not that she uses it anyway, what do you think about it, and whats your worst thing

HaHaHa!!! The worst in my kitchen is a crazy 'salad shooter.' One year they were THE thing during the Christmas season. Hence, I was given one as a gift. The box is tattered and torn from my hauling the thing from house to house and from cabinet to cabinet. Each time that I clean my kitchen cupbords, I swear I am going to donate it to chairity...yet, then I decide that perhaps I need to use it. So I keep it. Whenever I go to make salad, I forget its there and use the old fashioned knife and cutting board! Do you need a salad shooter? Sounds like you have cleared a spot for it in your cupboard?!!

I have so many useless things in my cupboards taking up room. For example an egg poacher I have maybe used once. A cheese cutter one of those big clunky marble kind.About 3 blenders all I need is one. I could go on and on. And yes containers that I never can find a lid for.

You think Tuuperware is a bad invention . So why is it all in your cupboards and not in use ?I try to make use of mine as much as possible. Nothing that is food or liquid goes into my fridge or freezer if it is not in tupperware. My cookies, cakes, bread , any kind of baked goods should be stored in tupperware. If you have a hard time with finding lids, put them in a basket so they are all in one place, if it belongs to A container - mark the container and the lid as A and so on down the line. I try to put condiments like sugar, flour, cookie crumbs , anything that is a box or bag that needs to be resealed goes in to a tupperware container. Tupperware can be used in any room in the house. My hubby uses some in his tool room.He stores nails and screws etc in them. If my husband gave away my tupperware without me knowing about it , there would be a war in our house.

I was given a food slicer a while ago, and the thing is supposed to shred vegetables, all it shreds are my fingers :-( the wretched thing is useless to me, but I can't get rid of it as it was a gift from a friend and when she comes to the house she always asks how I'm getting on with it.
