I am A member of Nielson Homescan and was invited to join thier Media program, Does anyone know what kind of money they send you monthly? I'm gonna do it anyway but was just courious.

I am a member but I have no idea about a Media program. I am courious too. If you get more info, can you post it?

I had to go look. Do you mean the HomeScan Online Panel? You 3000 points and download a program?

Iwas sent an e mail asking me to participate in this. Its the one that records the tv and radio that you watch and listen too. They say you will recive a monthly check for doing this plus a bonus check for signing up, I'm not sure if it offers points also.

I have never heard of it. Then again, I might have not opened a email from them recently. It sounds very interesting.

I registered my interest for the home scan thing about a year ago and never heard anything. I'd love to do something like this.

I was a member of Neilsen Net Ratings in Canada for as long as they needed me, a few years ago. It was a really interesting program, and they paid me a few bucks too. Believe me, that came in really really really handy.

I like it, its kinda fun and I have almost enough points for a digital camera. I have been wanting one for so long. I cant wait for my media device so I can earn extra cash too.

This sounds interesting. Ive never heard of it though. What is the scanner for? What does it do? How do you sign up?

they send you a scanner and ask that you scan anything you buy at any store and then you have to transmit your data once a week from your computer. You get points toward prizes for doing this, you also can answer surveys. You do have to add hardware to your computer but they send you everything you need.I dont have the address handy but I've seen banners on this site for it or you can try to search on AC Nielson homescan and see what happens.

Well that certinly sounds interesting I have never heard of the media program with them. I have been waiting on a scanner for along time and just got mine in the mail a few days ago and am so excited. I shop a lot and buy a lot so lol it has taken me a long time to record all my purchases each day but it is fun! I cant wait to reach enough points to get a gift but I know it is going to take a long time!
