What kind of camera do you use? What kind would you like?

Do you use a digital or film camera? How did you choose it? Do you like it, or are you pining for something different? Mine is a Canon PowerShot A610, 5 megapixel, and I like it a lot - takes nice pictures, has more settings than I've figured out yet, etc. It was a gift from my husband a couple of years ago. I'm drooling over the Nikon D80 10 megapixel, although I really don't *need* it. I guess all the magazine ads have gotten to me. :)

I have a canon 20D with a standard 35 mm lense as well as a 300 telephoto lense, I carry wide-angled lenses and polorizers. It has battery packs which are rechargeable, so i keep one on the charger and one in the camera, each pack has a 10 hour long lifespan which is enough. I also have a 6 gigabite microdrive, which holds over 7000 photos in the raw, and i rarely shoot in RAW. Thats my baby lol. I want somre more equiptment to go with it, but im loving it now :) I dont like film cameras as its too expensive to process for oppse pictures. When my son was a baby, all i had was film, so i took lots of pictures with it, and well over half-3/4s were blurred, the camera sucked. So i went digital and never looked back, not to mention all the different things i can do in photoshop to edit my pictures. I love digital.

I also have a kodak easy share point and shoot, which i use when i dont want to carry my big camera out of the house. I take one with me everywhere, i try to take my canon, but if i dont want to grab the bag and bring it everywhere im going, ill grab the P&S to stick in my pocket.

I currently have a Nikon CoolPix S5 as the main camera I'm using. I like it. It's a nice point and shoot that's small enough to bring along. But I really want a DSLR. I'm drooling over the D80 too! I need it, I can't live without it! Haha, okay... maybe I could, but I'd really really like it.

The only reason I'm coping without the D80 is the pricetag. Talk about a deterrent!! ;)

i use my phone camera,i have nokia n70 phone ,i take the photos or pictures from my phone only,it has high zoom extendable capacity and clearity pictures when taken from it.but i want to take pictures from the digital camera, it is good to use it,no change of batteries, and can take 3000 pictures at a time.and can connect to the computer and from there we can take out the prints of our size.from the analog cameras, there are lot of problems from them, problem of developing the negatives then making the photo copies of that negatives...

I use a digital camera and am very happy with it, I don't think I'll ever go back to using film. It's so easy to get prints now and I love the fact you can erase pictures that went wrong and take so many more pictures. You can also crop out bits of the picture and resize them easily it's just great.

I feel the exact same way about my digital - it's just so much easier than dealing with film, and there's never any proof of a messed up shot! :)

i have a sony hc23e camcorder. i went to the store to buy a new digicam, but i couldn't decide which one i wanted. then i walked around in the store and came to the section of the camcorders, and there is this camcorder. it was a bit more expensive then the digicams, but i always wanted a camcorder, so i wrote all the info of the digicams and the camcorder and went back home to think about it. after all i decide to buy the camcorder and i love it. it makes beautifull movies, has a very great zoom. i tried to film the moon ones, and i could even see the craters, so that's pretty good if you ask me ;) it also has an option to make pictures too. so it's 2 in 1 actually.

I collect cameras (I own around 30 different cameras, mostly vintage cameras), but I mostly tend to use film cameras. My main camera is a Canon EOS 300, but I also like to use my digital camera which is a Fuji Finepix S20 Pro. I also like using certain vintage Agfa cameras and my Diana, my Holga and Polaroid cameras.

I have a Nikon Coolpix 5 MP camera. I love it. I really think if it was bigger or had more parts it would just confuse me, so I stick with this small and easy-to-use model. On another note, the Nikon picture software needs some work. The version that came with the coolpix is not good at all.

My newest digital camera is an Olympus SP-320 7.1 megapixel, which I got a several months back. The main reason I got it was because my first digital didn't have any sound with the video. I love my new camera, I just need to use it more often! Heck, I haven't even begun to use most of the settings on there! LOL

i prefer digital than film. its economical and its the way to go in the new age. But i believe its also best to learn film photography for better appreciation of the art of photography.

Well, for one, photography as a hobby is quite expensive. I used to go for pro-consumer ones too until such a point that the lack of add-ons and response prompted me to upgrade. Digital SLR is the way to go man.

I have a Canon Powershot A520 4.0 Megapixel. I'm not so happy with this one because of its very slow performance. I dunno if it's because of its battery that make it slow to shot a sequence. Though, its quality is good but when you're in a hurry to take a couple of pictures, you have to wait for seconds to take another one.

I use a digital camera I totally still love. Its a Hewlett Packer and I dont recall its name but NO longer being made. I got it originally in 2004. In 2005 it got stollen and I lost 300 pictures :(( I got a replacement that I didnt like cause the camera came used and well it was broken. So I had to get another camera. This time I got my camera as last again. Its the best for me and it works... I dont dream of cameras currently except video types :))

I use a digital camera, but I sometimes use a Polaroid camera. I love pictures like that. I found really old film, and used it, and the pictures turned out pretty cool. They were sepia-like. Anyone else ever tried using old film?
