We have heard this that limited overs cricket is making players go away from traditional styles. Do you think this change has come over time due to evolution or due to limited overs cricket??

Yes, I think that change has been brought by limited overs cricket. More and more batmen adopt tecniques and stances which are there for scoring runs but not for lasting out days. That is why we see batsmen like Afridi never suceed on low and classic tracks like the old cricketing days. Many players still have a sense of the old style like Dravid who has also now, evolved his game into a solid mix of ODI and Test cricket.

Yes limited over cricket has had an impact over the eyars as to how batsmen now play shots. Batsmen now have evolved different techniqes, stances and shots to score runs faster. A lot of shots are predetermined, there is tendency to slog. Bats are becoming lighter and protective gears has increased which also helps.
