Fast food- when they don't tell you your total before you drive up.

Maybe "fast coffee" doesn't necessarily qualify as "fast food", but anyway. I really like Caribou Coffee. However, I have a problem with the way they do an important part of their drive-thru business. Not one time have I placed an order in their drive-thru, have they ever given me a total before I've pulled up. Ok, sure. I'm the one doing the ordering, and the prices are right there. But I like to have them tally it up for me before I get to the window. Is that crazy? Is it too much to ask? Maybe it's because they don't ring you up as you order- they just repeat it back to you (loud enough for a helper to get the order ready), and as you pull up, they're on to the next person's order. I dunno.. does anybody else get where I'm coming from? Or is this just me, that part of society too darn lazy to do the math in my head?

In my experience of drive throughs, they always tell you, "That will be 8.79. Please drive up." Your right, if they don't do this than they should. It is not too much to ask.
