Just wandering if you get along with your siblings ??? I have two sisters , we gaot along when we were younger but now they have children and don't want to take responsibility for my nieces , they want to run and do their thing all the time and leave the girls with sitter all the time and we argue because I don't agree with what they do ...

I get along with my siblings now more than I did when I was growing up, especially my sister that is closest to me in age. We are both in our mid twenties now and live far apart so we look forward to being able to talk to each other. Growing up I think we tried so hard to be different from each other and it ripped us apart. When I was about 14, my dad remarried and that added to more sisters to the family. It was like us against them and they were a lot younger, so they generated more attention. A couple years later we had two more kids born into our family. It was difficult because the age difference was so large; I am 16 years older than one and 18 years older than the other. I went away to college a month after the youngest was born. It's been trying at times, but I love my siblings and do everything I can to be there for them. Friends may come and go but family is always there. If you don't have family, who do you have?

It was the opposite for me. As a child I barely knew my one sister and brother cause she was all ready in college by the time I was in kindergarden. My other brother I got along with, and my two other sisters I did NOT get along with. We did from time to time but there were a ton of fights. As we all got older, we all began to get along better. My younger sister now, she's 20 and I'm 22, we're like best of friends, we talk every day! My other siblings I don't see as much cause they have children and live far away. But we never fight anymore. When we see eachother it's always a good time. I feel very fortunate.
