Is 'peace on earth' a possibility

Since the beginning of time there has been strife and man killing man. Often for no reason or for some trumped up reason that the people who started the war but won't fight in it gave for a reason to spill blood, and to hate, and pillage. It seems to me that as long as there are nations with narrow minded and selfish leaders and jealousy in the world there will be some kind of conflict. I truly don't believe that there will ever be complete peace and goodwill toward your fellowes. Beside the fact that there is no profut in peace for anyone.
