Fussy eating cat

As my cat gets older she is getting fussier, she used to love her complete food, then she went through a phase of only wanting a mixture of brands, now she only wants soft food and now she is starting to turn her nose up at that and going back to complete food. I can't win.
What do you feed your cat, fresh, soft or complete or something else?

I feed my cats prescription diet dry food. It is left out for them to eat anytime they are hungry during the day. Then, in the evening, they get a canned food treat. It is one small can of cat food divided between four cats, so that they eat it all without spoiling.

I used to leave her food down but then she would waste it by not eating it, fussy style, so its set times, I might revert back to leaving it down again.

My 10yr.old cat used to eat Purina O.N.E. but recently started having problems with picking it up to eat. I received a sample of Purina Naturals in the mail and offered him a few pieces. The pieces are smaller in size so he was able to pick them up and eat. Poor cat acted like he was starving, and probably was being he was having trouble with the other food, that he ate that whole sample bag in one sitting which he has never done b4. It was at least a cup of food..at once! Has no problem actually chewing it up, just picking the food up. I feed canned only as a rare treat, maybe once a month or less.
What I'm saying is that maybe your cat is being fussy cause of a eating problem with the food.

If she wants soft food, her teeth may hurt her. I feed my cats Nutro Max food. It is dry, expensive, and excellent quality. If the older wants it wet, I will wet it for his teeth. But, within 30 minutes, dump what he doesn't finish, as it can spoil. Don't give your cat too many choices at once. And gradulaly take her from one food to another within a week by mixing them together. They have sensitive stomachs. Good luck dear. When she is hungry enough, she will eat. Just like kids.
