Any "average" wine tasters out there?

How many of you out here on MyLot are basically "average" wine tasters, enjoying a good sip of something perhaps local? I went to a local winery today to pick up a couple bottles of my favorite wine, a local Niagara. They also have a special make of a St. Patty's day wine, a green apple. Absolutely wonderful and so delightful to sip on! Of course I ended up with a case of the 2 mixed. LOL I'm far from a wine specialist or one of the hoitie toitie types that swirls, breathes and sips. LOL Anyone else out there enjoy a good wine, based simply on what you enjoy?
