Children are physically fragile. Be careful and avoid tragedies like this one.

This happened in my city last week.
A mother was driving with her 4 year old child and had to stop in at her job for just a minute to pick something up.
She left the child in the car. She left the window open a bit.
Though it was something she would not normally do, she knew she would be very quick.
It was later determined that the little girl had put her head out the open window and her foot caught the power window button and closed on her neck.
A passerby saw her and released her. He could not get her to respond, so he lay her on the back seat and ran into a building to call for help.
The mother came out of "her" office building and seeing her daughter laying on the back seat, assumed she was sleeping and left her as she was and headed back home.
It was when she arrived home 20 minutes later that she realized that her daughter was not sleeping, but indeed had passed away.
The police, with the statement of the gentleman who tried to help, pieced together what had happened.
It was a chain of events that happened very quickly and was so tragic and avoidable.
I think parents have to always be aware how physically fragile young children are and what may not be a danger to an adult could be deadly to a child.
