Signs from God

In my life when things got complicated & I feel hopeless solving my problems in life, I don't hesitate asking help & guidance from God.I know that He always listens every time I pray to Him. With regards to hard decisions in life I always ask Him to help me decide through giving some signs.Just recently I have a friend that ask advice from me, regarding making a very hard decisions in life.So I gave him an advice to ask help from God by showing signs in his life.But then he was not convince my advice instead he criticize me why I believed in signs .Because according to my friend signs are works from the devil and not from God.Until now this is our argument because he still don't believe in signs.What should I do in order for him to believe that signs of God is really helpful in making hard decisions in life?

Unfortunately when someone is not ready you cannot make them understand. God guides and misguides whom He pleases. Each person's level of understanding is different, what you can do is just pray and stand by your friend. Don't argue with him but show him compassion and patience. Let him find his way, even if it means it is a bit different from yours. I remember reading a story about the Prophet Muhamad, p.b.y.h and when he went to preach the Holy word in a place called Taif..The people there stoned him and ridiculed him and He asked God why/ and God replied that He gave him the message to preach but it is up to God himself to lock or unlick each heart..so, you can say your point of view to your friend, but don't impose it..let God now do his work..I love reading stories from all religions, it has tought me a lot, about not forcing things..but still working hard and doing my best..

You know, it takes a firm faith in order to truly believe in what you are doing. The kind of faith in God that you have is so deep that it has influenced the way you live your life and make decisions time and again.
This is not so with many among us. Your friend needs convincing. Tell him about how God is within our reach at all times. Convince him to give it a try. His prayer must be heartfelt and true, otherwise God will not take heed of him. God will not necessarily give him any sign, he might just feel within himself as to what will be the better steps to undertake to solve his problem. Ask him to pray for God's guidance and to grant him wisdom to know how to deal with his problem and it shall be given. This will be proper for your friend who does not desire signs.

Thanks for the inputs.Yes, I keep on convincing my friend that we should have greater faith in HIM so that whatever problems & temptations in life we can easily overcome them.I believe that only constant prayers will enlighten our day to day life.God Bless!

You should ask your friend what kind of signs he is talking about. The Devil sure can show us signs too, but then if you have the faith you would know it isn't from God. The Devil can only fool those who doesn't have as much faith

My friend was talking about signs in maikng hard decisions in life.Yes, I keep on telling him that we should have faith in God so that the devil will not invade us.But he keep on insisting that the more we are closer to God the more Devils surrounds us.

I do believe in signs from God. And sometimes they are all around us. But it's for us to open our eyes and see them. I hope your friend will open his eyes and heart as well. The works of God are incomparable and unquestionable, I mean He works in so many mysterious ways and the only way to see those signs is to believe in His love and have Faith in His guidance. And prayers are good keys to open his heart. Have a nice day Romel! (^^,)
