Out going email marked as spam?

My isp provider requires me to use their smtp address for all my POP3 accounts yet their security system tends to block them stating SPAM abuse. When a few calls to tech support are placed, they tell me to contact my host and use their outgoing smtp address (apparently forgetting that they ban its use). How do I get this corrected... calling 6 times over the course of 15 hours and being polite/rude/push/sweet does not get any answers. Any ideas to make progress?

Good luck. I know I've had my share of problems with this with my last host. Their answer was it was the other companies fault and not theirs so nothing they could do. If you do get results let me know how you did it. It amazes me how some services will block spam on very little evidence. I've seen spam cop block out emails from yahoo groups, ones I was a member of, and sometimes even email from my hosting account to another account on my host. It never seems to make sense. I do agree we need to stop spam but some just seem to go way overboard.

Indeed very overboard. It is rediculous that your email to your friends (heaven forbid you have more then 1) makes you a spammer... grr
