This morning in the bus, I overheard a amusing conversion between an elderly couple. There were many "I don't know". Last week, My nephew was bored. I decided to play a game with him. He replied "I don't know how to play". He taught me the game in the first place. In office, I too heard this "I don't know" rather often. Have you ever used the words? Is it just an easy way out? A quick excuse? Or is it for real? What do you think? I don't know.

Half the time, people go "I don't know" because they really don't know. The other half, it is usually just a form of procrastination. If you are asking for a favor or some help, the easiest way out would be "I don't know". What they really mean is that they are either too busy to help you or can't be bothered to pitch in. What do you think? I don't know.

A person who voluntarily offers help or sympathy in times of trouble... Probably derived from a parable in the bible - Gospel of Luke (10:25-37). The parable is told by Jesus to illustrate the precepts that a person's fitness for eternal life is defined by his or her actions, that compassion should be for all people, and that fulfilling the spirit of the Law is more important than fulfilling the letter of the Law.

LOL. For once, the wizard is a bit slow to catch the hint.

I truly, always look to answer a question. I don't like feeling like I cannot be of any help. But instead of coming up with an answer that might not be that relevant, I often have to use, 'I don't know.'

Yes i do use the "i don't know". I do have to admit that in my past years i had a difficult time to admit that i really did not know the answer, so i just tried to be creative. Lol. But today i just use it when i do not know somthing. I know that alote of people use this sentence when they are tired, and they don't feel like starting to discuss somthing, but i use it when i usually do not know.
