call center in the philippines

yes call center industry is booming here in the philippines..it is a big help for us filipinos and to some who unfortunately didn't finished their studies but are able to communicate in english fluently and with confidence..i myself is a customer service representative who works for a directory assistance company based in UK..

I'm working in a call center too. We service DSL for the South-Eastern people in the US. It's great to be in a call center as it enhances my communication skills and confidence. I even got their accent-Southern Alabaman. =)

It is good for the flipinos that they have this industry. But from the other end I can tell you it can be frustrating at times. More than once I have made contact with a call center and not been able to understand the very broken english. They do thier best and for a second language do well but I am hearing impared. It is difficult for me to understand a person that speaks english well so it is imposible to understand one who doesn't.
I have no feel for how most people feel about this but it is the only problem I have with it. However best of luck to you.
