some say that animals have rights and its wrong to kill them for food... that humans are animals too and it is wrong to set us aprt from other species... others says humans have rights that animals don't and thus, killing an animal for food is not murder... some also say that a vegetarian diet is healthier and vegetables basically contain all the nutrients we need.. while others has the notion that we ware omnivores and are meant to eat both plants and animals.. so what do you say?

Humans need both vegetarian and non-vegetarian diet for optimal health. Human beings are omnivores, we are supposed to have both types of food, its perfectly normal. The only thing that should be taken into consideration, is that what type of meat you eat and how many portions of meat you have in a week. Red meat is harmful for health, whereas meat from fish, chicken without the skin etc. are extremely good, if taken in moderation. Also, people who are vegans, are at a very high risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, a problem that can be easily rectified by incorporating meat in the diet. Also, humans being a part of the food chain, have every right to consume meat, however, caution should exercised with respect to endangered species to prevent extinction. I also, feel that its wrong to call killing of animals unethical, because the vegetarian people are also responsible for killing.... they kill plants to fill their tummy, plants also have life, they also grow, they also reproduce, so the logic that killing animal's is inhuman goes out of the window.

We can get all the nutrients we need to live a healthy life from a vegan diet. Everyone has a right to live a full and happy life in thei world. Humans don't need to eat animals or their products. Why not leave the animals alone?
