Crock Pot Chicken Cacciatore

The crock pot has changed the way we cook. It is so easy to put all the ingredients in the crockpot and let them cook all day. It smells so yoummy and makes you feel more comfortable and less stressed to come home to a fresh cooked meal and it is not take out. This is a simple Chicken Cacciatore recipe. It is hardy and just add some rice or pasta for a great meal. If you have 2 crockpots, you can make your main dish in one and the desert in the other. I have posted a few crockpot deserts also. Crock Pot Chicken Cassiatore 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1 green bell pepper, sliced 1 can mushrooms, drained 1 med. onion, sliced 2 cloves garlic 1 can whole tomatoes in puree Oregan, taragon and basil to taste Add all ingredients to crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours. Spoon over cooked rice or cooked spaghetti. Add Mozzarella cheese. Cook in microwave until cheese melts.

We do have 2 crockpots. Hubby wanted me to get rid of the older one, but I told him that it would be handy for larger meals for warming or to cook in. I love this stuff. Hubby always complains when I fire up the oven. "It uses too much gas" is his comment. He shouldn't complain about the crockpot. Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken is a favorite of my boyfriend so I know he will really like this one. The only problem is now I think I need to buy another crockpot so I can make one of the deserts too.lol

I love italian food and chicken cacciatore is one of my absolute favorites. I've neve made it in the crockpot. I bake it in the oven. This sounds like a great recipe and a great way to prepare it, thanks for this post.

Thanks for another great recipe. I will have to purchase a larger crock pot all I have is the medium sized one not the smallest they have but the next size up. It isn't great big and that is what I would like to get.

I got my large slow cooker for free. I do surveys for a company that pays $10 amazon gift certificate for every survey that I do. I save my gift certificates and when Fridays specials come around, I check them out I acturally got 5 slow cookers for free with free delivery too. I gave them as gifts and kept one for me.

This sounds great! I love to make this kind of easy recipes. Easy but at the same time very tasty. I think I can add some other vegetable also to this recipe. I am going to serve this with spaghetti.

MMMMM...This sounds delicious, I'll be sure to try it out on the weekend. Lucky for me my family is easy to please because I enjoy trying new recipes. I like the fact it is done in a crock pot...especially on weekends I dont always have time to stand in front of my stove. Thanks again villageanne :)
