Answering a call is no problem. Someone known to me may be calling from a 'Public booth' so I will surely attend the call, if it is irrelevant...then I would disconnect it immediately.

Yup, and even if no number appears on the screen. It could be an international call from my Sweet Tooth :)

I usually wait until they leave a message. But sometimes I will answer just because I'm lazy and there are always new numbers I haven't taken the time to enter into my phonebook! Here's a pet peeve though. When someone gets the wrong number and then leaves you this long message. It's like, hello, do I sound like the auto repair shop? Wouldn't the message have said, "Hey, you've reached Bubba's Auto Repair" as opposed to my perky voice saying, "Hey, I'm out, leave me a message!" Sooooo annoying!!

It depends on how busy I am at the time of the call. If I'm in the middle of something that is worth while then I proably would not even answer the phone if I knew who it was. Most of the time though I pick up becasue it might be someone I know calling, just at another number.

Most of the wireless providers in my area only let your number come up when calling someone from your mobile -- you only get a name and number if it's a landline. I almost always answer my phone, even if I don't recognize the number because you never know, and there's no one I'm hiding from.
