One of my boys asked me who is Jesus. He prays to God (Yahweh) and his prayers are answered. He always has. His girlfriend goes to a fundamentalist christian church where they pray to Jesus (Yashua). When I asked her about Jesus, she burst into tears. She doesn't know who He is. It's just something they teach at Church. I know all the catch phrase words we were taught at Sunday school about who Jesus is and can repeat them from memory while singing "Just as I am" and leading the sinners prayer but I realised I could not really answer their question. I could read more books but I was hoping to read a living epistle this time. Who is Jesus and where does He fit in when you already have had a lifetime relationship with God?

Well the answer from a regular Christian would be that, because Jesus IS God, then if you've had a lifetime relationship with Him . then you've had a lifetime relationship with Jesus .. you just didn't realize it was Jesus.

If Jesus is not God, then men have no Savior, since He could not forgive sin just by being a good man. Some say Jesus was a great and wise Teacher and good man, stopping short of calling Him God. Yet this great, wise, and good Teacher said that man is need of a Savior and that He is the only Savior men can come to for forgiveness of sin and salvation. If it is true that Jesus is not God, then He has deceived and misled people and declared as truth a lie. So if Jesus is not God, He is not even a good man.

Jesus is the son of God. He is the liaison between God and us. He said he was the way to Heaven. He is our savior. By allowing himself to be born of a human and live among us and finally dieing for us, he atoned our sins making it possible for us to live forever! We might die here on earth but I believe if we accepted Jesus and have done our best to follow him and obey the ten commandments we will be resurrected at the second coming and live with Jesus in heaven.
