My girlfriend will have a business travel and she will be in Poland for a week. Her travel and hotel will be payed by her university and some months ago she told me I could go with her (my costs would have been divided among us). But now she has changed her mind, so I have to pay all by myself if I want to go with her. I don't know if she is money-dependant (I don't know what Italian "tirchia" mean in English) or is there something else behind this change...Please help me... what can I do?

It is a shame you two don't talk more. That word is stingy. Let her go. Do your own thing for a week. See if she is better when she gets home. It is possible that the office said that afterall you could not go. Wish her well, give her a flower or two as a parting memento and watch her leave. See what happens when you get back. Then you could have that communication from them on I hope.

The truth is that we can't talk friendly, every discussion becomes a struggle between us. If this is the right thing to do, I'll let her go, but I'll be unhappy :-(

Well...simply ask her :) Maybe there are some unsolved money problems...and nothing more ;) P.S.: "Tirchia",in english "tight-fisted",or "stingy" :)

hard question... my mother has travelled so much for work but my father has never followed her. i can suggest you... if you got the money, follow her, first of all because poland is wonderful (a friend of mine has just come home from Cracovia and he said it is a fantastic town)second because in your words i read a lack of trust... is it real? following her you would be more uiet than staying home...

The fact is... I've always studied and worked a lot and I'm not that able to do travels by myself, to enjoy by myself. She is my girlfriend and I want to do everything together with her. I want to live every good moment with her and I don't like she visits far places and I stay at home. This is my thought.
