Teething Idea

This is a trick passed down in my family. Hand the little one a pickle spear, put on a bib, either let them walk around the house with it or strap them in the highchair. The pickle is cold enough to soothe the gums but not as cold as the frozen teether's than can be too cold to hold. The look on their faces is worth it, the first time they put the pickle in their mouths. And no, not one child in our family has ever choked as a result. If they gum it into choking sized pieces then just replace the pickle spear.

My son, now an adult, loved pickles as a teething baby. We actually gave him sliced pickles.

Yes, sliced pickles are called spears. A lot of people think I am nuts when I suggest it but it works well!!

I will have to try it.. My six month old is teething again. He got in his first two at 4 months, and we've been at a loss on what to do, because some of the tricks we couldn't do for him because of his age at the time, but now he is old enough for solids, and we will surely try this.. anything that helps.. lately he's been trying to sleep it off.. which is nice for everyone.
