My dilemma not my curse

I've been singing for quite sometime already but its my first time to be in a band. here's my problem, i just can't stop drinking beer before we go to the stage. is drinking beer before singing? will there be an effect to my voice?

It does effect your ability to stay in tune more than you realize at the time. If you are doing a real gig you should wait till afterwards to start drinking really or you won't give your best performance.
